Faculty-led
March 11, 2022 at 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM

Asynchronous Event with Bard Annandale Synchronous Option

Between March 11 and March 25, all members of the Experimental Humanities Collaborative Network were invited to spend 20 minutes walking and listening to the sounds encountered in their chosen environments. Participants were encouraged to bring an audio recording device (including a smartphone), as well as any other recording media such as drawing, writing, photographing, or taking videos. Participants were asked to maintain focus on the sounds around them, and reflect afterward on these sounds and their emotional and sensual impact. Recordings and reflections were uploaded to a network archive.

March 11, 2022, 14:00 EST: synchronous walk in Annandale led by Dominique Townsend, Assistant Professor of the Study of Religion, Bard College Annandale

Otherwise asynchronous, open to all

This event is part of the Humans and the Environment Symposium.
