YAMAN Digital History

Student-led

YAMAN Digital History is an interactive and user-friendly online repository of audiovisual material cultures of American and Japanese occupied Philippines which spans time, digital technologies, and infrastructures. It also hosts a collective digital information system mapping for the application of public history and the involvement of the general ‘public’ in the process of remembering the past through contribution and submission of materials. It also offers an opportunity to reflect on collected audiovisual material submitted by others. YAMAN Digital History hopes to address the menace of Historical revisionism and distortions about the past in the Philippines via a digital hub of material from the public.
