Through working with the Senior Communications Strategist at the National Museum of Natural History (NMNH) Office of Communications, Tina Tennessen, and our EHCN Indigenous funded scholar, Omar Aguilar Sánchez, Recovering Voices developed an Instagram “takeover” of NMNH’s Instagram feed in January 2022. Sánchez curated a total of seven posts, which included multiple images in order to give the Instagram audience access to the work of an Indigenous scholar and the subjects he is passionate about, especially in regard to helping other Indigenous scholars access their cultural heritage in museums outside of Mexico.
