Al-Quds Bard College (AQB) had the pleasure to offer the first Augmented Reality Workshop on Monday, January 10th, where AQB students attended the interactive session via Zoom. The workshop was instructed by Professor Yazid Al-Badarin, the AQB Acting Head of the Computer Science Program. He aimed to introduce the students to an overview of the basic principles of augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), and mixed reality (MR). The workshop covered the technical and experiential design foundation required for the implementation of immersive environments using AR and VR technology. The main outcome of this workshop was to conduct a digital exhibition using the AR technique. Each student suggested an idea for an exhibit and then augmented it.
