View From Above: QGIS as a data source, visualization and analysis tool

Workshop attendees were introduced to the use of QGIS and then instructed in how to use it for their research projects. QGIS is a free and open-source cross-platform desktop geographic information system application that supports viewing, editing, printing, and analysis of geospatial data. Workshop time was dedicated towards work on projects with individual consultations on days 3 and 4. On day 5, attendees presented their projects and gave feedback to one another.
