This hands-on workshop introduced participants to the rich world of (increasingly) digitized and publicly available audio archives, which can be used for research as well as for creating sound-based work. Participants learned the process of creating a very short audio piece by excerpting archival audio and generating corresponding spoken citations using the open source software Audacity.
