The workshop "Naturaleza Virtual" was developed, seeking to promote interaction among the community through the strengthening of skills for creating narratives for scientific dissemination, along with the fundamentals of virtual reality. It was expected that once the participants completed the workshop, they would be able to create interactive virtual reality scenarios, inspired by scientific research data, which would then become narratives that promote awareness and generate action towards environmental care. For this purpose, 6 sessions were defined to create scientific narratives with the help of design processes, followed by the development of characters and scenarios that would be visualized in VR. The first three sessions involved the theoretical and practical approach to creating narratives. In these sessions, the participant chose the subject of whales and constructed a story about the migration of humpback whales, discussing the events that occur during their journey from the pole to the Pacific Ocean. In the following sessions, the development of the Unity virtual reality tool and the materialization of the narrative into a virtual reality product was completed. At this point, the participant decided on an interactive role-playing game where the user becomes the whale and experiences the events of the migration journey. In the fifth session, more detail was added to the virtual reality scenario and its images. In the sixth and last session of the workshop, the participant was taught how to use Audition (an application for creating sound environments for the project).
