Whether you're writing a blog post, a press release or a news story: a practical workshop for improving your climate content.

Dr Imke Henkel – Lecturer in Journalism and Media at University of Leeds and Dorothy Stein – Birkbeck alumni, climate journalist and co-founder Salamander media co-op will lead a workshop of theory, discussion and practice. Topics include:

• What makes a good story, how to reach audiences, news values
• Why do we need good climate journalism?
• Case study - aviation - who flies, who pays?
• Case study - do the rich really pollute more than the poor? (Le Monde)
• Climate activists and climate journalists – can you be both?

If you’re a writer, activist, campaigner or just interested in knowing more, bring your ideas and we’ll help you develop your original content. Tea, coffee and sandwiches provided.
